The “Export to Excel” the new Outlook forgot.

Classic Outlook's Import/Export wizard could write emails to a CSV. The new Outlook and Outlook on the web only export a whole mailbox as a .pst. MailToSheet brings the spreadsheet back.

Up to 100 emails at once

Tick the emails you need in any folder or search result. Each one becomes a row, with a live preview before you export.

A proper Excel file

Bold frozen header, filters on every column, real dates and times Excel can sort, and sensible column widths. Or a UTF-8 CSV.

Pick your columns

Date, time, from name and address, to, cc, subject, attachment names and count, body preview, categories, importance, read status and folder.

Device or OneDrive

Save the file on your computer, or straight into any OneDrive or SharePoint folder so the team can open it.

Pull out the numbers (Pro)

Extract invoice, PO or order numbers and amounts from subjects and bodies into their own columns with ready-made or custom rules.

Private by design

The spreadsheet is built inside Outlook on your device. No email content ever reaches our servers, and there's no mailbox-wide access.

Your emails never touch our servers.

Questions

Which Outlook versions work?

The new Outlook for Windows, Outlook on the web (Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com) and classic Outlook for Windows with Microsoft 365. Outlook for Mac exports the open email.

Why only 100 emails?

That's Outlook's own limit for selecting emails in an add-in. Export as many batches as you like; each file is named with the date and row count.

Can I export a whole folder or a date range?

Not yet. Outlook lets add-ins work with the emails you select, which keeps MailToSheet away from mailbox-wide access. Use search or a filter, then tick up to 100 results.

Why do Read and Folder need an extra permission?

Outlook doesn't hand those two details to add-ins, so MailToSheet asks Microsoft for Mail.ReadBasic only when you turn those columns on. It covers message flags such as read status and folder, never bodies or attachments.
